Privacy Policy

LawnRoute holds your customer list, addresses, and payment history. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and who else touches it.

LawnRoute is operated by RJ Riley, a sole proprietor based in Arkansas, United States (“LawnRoute,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers the LawnRoute website at lawn-route.com, the LawnRoute web application, and the LawnRoute mobile app.

The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we do not sell your data, we do not sell or market to the customers in your account, and we do not use your business data to train AI models.

Information we collect

There are three kinds of data in LawnRoute, and they are treated differently.

1. Your account information

2. Business data you enter

This is the information you put into the product about your own lawn care business — your customers and their yards:

This data belongs to you. We act as a processor for it. We do not contact the customers in your account, market to them, sell their information, or use it for any purpose other than running LawnRoute for you and keeping it working.

3. Technical data

Location and address data

When you save a service address, we send that address to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim geocoding service to turn it into map coordinates so routes and schedules work. Only the address text is sent — never your customer’s name, phone number, or price.

The mobile app may ask for device location permission to show where you are relative to the day’s yards. This is optional, you can decline it, and the rest of the app keeps working without it.

How we use your information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your business data or your customers’ information to train machine learning or AI models.

Who we share data with

LawnRoute relies on a small number of service providers (sub-processors) to run. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer (such as a sale of LawnRoute), in which case we will notify you beforehand.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. If you delete a record inside the product it is removed from your active account, and backups roll off within 30 days.

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We do not charge for these requests and we will not restrict your account for making one.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. Every request in the application is scoped to your organization, so one account cannot read another’s records.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly with what we know and what we are doing about it.

Cookies

LawnRoute uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

LawnRoute is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
